Notes and Progress :  It was a very good week for harvest.  Some examples are beets 307 pounds, carrots 294, onions 1,183 pounds, tomatoes 390 pounds, plus others for a weekly total over 2,400 pounds.  The season total stands at 16,084 pounds.  We are still working on the crops in the ground.

Members of this community put in the time and effort.  Saturday brought the Department of Financial Institutions and St. Benedict church volunteers to the West Side for cabbage weeding and beet harvest.  These people are really putting their hands and backs into where their hearts lead them.  Thank you so much!

The season is changing with more fall rain to take into consideration but with no change in our goals.

The schedule for September 18th through 23rd.

Monday, September 18, West Side, Not Scheduled work times.  (Miscellaneous garden tasks)

Tuesday, September 19, Goche/MGNW/Friendly Grove Rd Farm, 8:30 to 1 PM, Priority harvest of tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and carrots

Wednesday, September 20, Capitol Campus  Not Scheduled in the morning.

Capitol Campus,  5 PM to 6:30 PM, Onion Harvest with transport for later drying and processing

Thursday, September 21, West Side, 9 to Noon or 1, Harvest with the FUMCO Gleaners of United Methodist Church, probable last bean harvest, cabbage harvest, onion processing

Friday, September 22, West Side, 8:30 to 2, United Way Day of Caring with TESC students,  Onion processing, end of season clean-up

Friday September 22, Capitol Campus, 8:30 to 2, United Way Day of Caring with TESC students, Acorn squash harvest, processing, crating, transport to the warehouse and squash vine removal

Saturday, September 23, West Side, United Way Day of Caring with LDS Church volunteers, End of Season tasks such as greenhouse clean-up, pole bean vine removal
