Olympia Kiwanis Club sponsors projects throughout the year that benefit children and their families. This could not be possible without the generous hours donated by Olympia Kiwanis Club members and volunteers from the community.
We have many community groups, families, and individuals that volunteer at our three gardens. Volunteering at the gardens is a great way to make a difference in the community, whether you have just a few hours to donate, or if you are interested in volunteering on a regular basis. Volunteer opportunities are available spring through the fall and include planting and harvesting activities, depending on the season.
We have many community groups, families, and individuals that volunteer at our Firewood Bank, located at our Westside Garden location. Our firewood crew is hard at work all year long collecting, splitting, stacking and delivering firewood to community members in need. Volunteers are needed to help split and stack the wood, which usually occurs on Saturday mornings throughout the year.
olympia harbor days
Olympia Harbor Days is an annual non-profit festival sponsored by Olympia Kiwanis Club during the Labor Day weekend. The festival celebrates the return of vintage tugboats of the Puget Sound to Olympia for three days of entertainment, food, art, history, and a last farewell to summer. We have many community groups, families, and individuals that volunteer at the festival. Volunteers are needed to help organize and setup/take down the event, hand out informational flyers during the event, and serve in the information booth located at Harbor House.
support other Kiwanis programs
We are always looking for support for our various events and fundraisers. Let us know if you have a specific type of event you'd like to volunteer at and we can make it happen!
